Kalogerinis
Peter T. Kalogerinis, DMSc, PA-C, AQH

​

Mr. Kalogerinis is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He received a BS in Biology from East Carolina University where during his time he was involved in cancer research in the former Georgakilas DNA damage lab.

 

After completing his degree, he attended Methodist University where he received his Master of Medical Science and became a Physician Assistant. In 2019 he completed his Doctor of Medical Science degree with honors at the University of Lynchburg and was a member of the inaugural class.

 

He also holds a certification in Headache Medicine from The National Headache Foundation and is only one of eight providers to have this distinction in North Carolina. In addition to being a board-certified Physician Assistant, he is also trained and certified in advanced ultrasound techniques and interventional procedures to include  Botox and other toxin therapies for Migraine and Cervical Dystonia.

Mr. Kalogerinis had practiced neuromuscular medicine and pain management for over a decade but realized the great need for access to personal and specialized headache care, especially in underserved regions. With that in mind he founded Cardinal Headache Center to expand care in North Carolina.​

 

When not practicing clinically, Mr. Kalogerinis serves as adjunct faculty of medicine at the  University of Pittsburgh and Southern Illinois School of Medicine. He also serves as board exam writer and reviewer for the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Mr. Kalogerinis is also involved in clinical and pharmaceutical research and serves as a consultant to various research facilities and companies. He has also been published in several peer reviewed journals and has served on local hospital committees.

The medical director of Cardinal Headache Center is Dr. M.Khasru, MD who has been a practicing Neurologist for several decades. He serves an administrative role in the practice helping ensure our care is up to the current standard of care.
